Picasso Glow.
Whiter Teeth, Measured.
Picasso Glow is our exclusive laser whitening protocol, available only at Picasso Dental. Every session uses a VITA-calibrated spectrophotometer to measure your shade at each cycle, not just at the start and end. You see the progression in real time. Treatment concludes only when a documented shade change is confirmed, or we do not charge.

What Is It
What Is Picasso Glow, and Why Only Here?
Picasso Glow is the clinic's own laser whitening protocol, developed in-house and exclusive to Picasso Dental. It uses a professional-grade light-activated bleaching agent applied across two or three cycles per session. What separates it from off-the-shelf in-office systems like Zoom is the measurement layer: a VITA-calibrated spectrophotometer reads your shade at every cycle, not just before and after. You see exactly how many shades you have moved, in real time, before the next cycle begins. The session ends with a desensitising finish and a final documented shade reading that forms part of your clinical record.
Shade measured at every cycle, not just before and after.
Standard in-office whitening systems take one shade reading before and one after. Picasso Glow reads your shade after every cycle. This lets the treating dentist adjust the session in real time rather than guessing, and gives you a documented record of exactly how many VITA shades you moved during your appointment.
No-result, no-fee. The only guarantee in the market.
If the spectrophotometer shows no measurable shade change from your baseline at the end of the session, we do not charge for the treatment. The guarantee applies to all three Picasso Glow packages. We can offer this because every result is objectively measured, not self-reported.
Exclusive to Picasso Dental, in all six branches.
Picasso Glow is not a licensed third-party brand. It is a proprietary protocol built by Picasso Dental's clinical team and available only at our six Vietnam locations. The same protocol, equipment standards and spectrophotometer verification apply at every branch.
Packages
Three Packages. One Standard of Measurement.
Every package includes a digital shade simulation before treatment, per-cycle spectrophotometer readings, a desensitising finish, and the no-result no-fee guarantee. The difference is session length, number of cycles, and what comes home with you.
| Package | Duration | Whitening Cycles | Includes | Price (VND) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Express Glow | 60 minutes | 2 cycles | Shade simulation · Spectrophotometer readings · Desensitising finish | 3,000,000 |
| Pro Glow Most Popular | 75 minutes | 3 cycles | Everything in Express + desensitising preparation before treatment | 4,000,000 |
| Signature Glow | 90 minutes | 3 cycles | Everything in Pro + take-home maintenance kit | 5,000,000 |
All prices are per session, per arch. Most patients treat the upper arch only; lower arch whitening can be added and is quoted separately. Prices correct as of May 2026.
vs Zoom
Picasso Glow vs Zoom Whitening
Zoom is the most-recognised in-office whitening brand internationally. Here is an honest side-by-side of what Picasso Glow does differently and where the distinction actually matters to patients.
| Feature | Picasso Glow | Zoom Whitening |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Exclusive to Picasso Dental (6 branches, Vietnam) | Licensed to clinics globally |
| Shade measurement | VITA spectrophotometer after every cycle | Visual shade guide before and after (clinic-dependent) |
| Result guarantee | No-result no-fee on all packages | No standard guarantee (clinic policy varies) |
| Documented shade record | Yes, included in clinical file | Clinic-dependent |
| Desensitising prep | Standard in Pro and Signature Glow | Included in Zoom protocol |
| Take-home kit option | Included in Signature Glow | Available as add-on at extra cost |
| Session length | 60, 75 or 90 minutes | Typically 45–60 minutes in-chair |
| Price in Vietnam | 3,000,000 – 5,000,000 VND | Comparable or higher at most clinics offering it |
The core bleaching chemistry in all professional in-office whitening systems is hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. The distinction between systems lies in the light source, the protocol and, critically, how results are measured and guaranteed. Picasso Glow is our answer to all three.
Candidates
Who Is, and Isn't, a Good Candidate?
Laser whitening is one of the least invasive cosmetic procedures. But it is not suitable for everyone, and we will tell you honestly before your session begins.
You're a strong candidate if
- Your teeth are healthy with no untreated cavities or active gum disease.
- Your discolouration is primarily extrinsic: coffee, tea, wine, tobacco or age-related yellowing.
- You have intact enamel with no significant erosion.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are 16 or older.
- Your existing restorations (fillings, crowns, veneers) are on back teeth or you understand they will not change colour.
Whitening may not be right if
- You have tetracycline staining or fluorosis: bleaching has limited effect on these and multiple sessions may not achieve dramatic results.
- You have prominent front crowns or veneers you want to match: whitening will not change their shade.
- You have significant enamel erosion: the bleaching agent can increase sensitivity on thin enamel.
- You have active cavities or gum disease: these must be treated first.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You expect a result equivalent to porcelain veneers: whitening changes shade, it does not change shape.
We assess suitability at the pre-session consultation. If whitening is not the right choice for you, we will say so and recommend what is.
The Protocol
Picasso Glow, Step by Step
What happens in the chair from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Total time in the clinic: 60 to 90 minutes depending on your package.
10 min
Shade Baseline
The spectrophotometer reads your current shade. A digital before photo is taken. Your target shade is discussed and documented before any gel is applied.
5 min
Gum Shield Placement
A custom barrier is fitted to protect your gum tissue and cheeks. Only the visible tooth surfaces are exposed to the bleaching gel.
30–60 min
Whitening Cycles
Two or three cycles of light-activated bleaching gel, each 15–20 minutes. The spectrophotometer reads your shade at the end of every cycle. You see the numbers move in real time.
10 min
Desensitising Finish
A fluoride desensitising agent seals the enamel and reduces post-treatment sensitivity. Final spectrophotometer reading taken and added to your clinical file. You leave.

The Team
The Whitening Team
Picasso Glow sessions are performed by qualified dentists, not technicians or hygienists. Every clinician below is trained in shade measurement and the spectrophotometer verification protocol.

Dr. Huong Nguyen (Dr. Rosie)
Picasso's dedicated cosmetic dentist. When patients combine Picasso Glow with veneers or composite bonding, Dr. Rosie sequences the whitening first and shade-matches the restorations to the stabilised post-whitening result. Hanoi Old Quarter and Hanoi Westlake.

Dr. Nhung Duong (Dr. Lynn)
General dentist with a focus on prosthodontics. Performs Picasso Glow sessions and manages pre-whitening assessments for patients combining whitening with crowns or bridges, ensuring final restorations are shade-matched to the post-treatment result.

Dr. Thao Tran (Dr. Anna)
General dentist trained at the University of Hamburg. Performs Picasso Glow whitening sessions and pre-treatment shade assessments. Fluent in German and English, regularly sees international patients from Europe seeking whitening during their time in Vietnam.
Aftercare
Making Your Results Last
Whitening results are not permanent. They fade as natural enamel picks up stains again over time. How fast that happens depends almost entirely on lifestyle choices in the weeks and months after treatment.
First 48 Hours
White Diet
Avoid all staining foods and drinks for 48 hours: coffee, tea, red wine, tomato-based sauces, curries, dark berries, cola. This is the window when enamel pores are most open to re-staining.
Days 3–7
Sensitivity Settles
Any post-treatment sensitivity typically resolves within 24–48 hours. If sensitivity persists beyond 72 hours, contact us. Over-the-counter sensitivity toothpaste speeds resolution.
Ongoing
Maintenance Habits
Use a whitening toothpaste twice daily. Rinse immediately after consuming staining drinks. Drink coffee through a straw if you drink it frequently. Signature Glow patients: use the included take-home maintenance kit as directed.
Top-Up
Come Back for a Top-Up
When shade begins to drift back toward your pre-treatment baseline, a single Express Glow session restores the result. Most patients top up every 12–24 months.
What accelerates fading
Smoking is the single biggest threat to whitening longevity. Frequent consumption of coffee, red wine, tea and dark-coloured sauces, combined with inadequate oral hygiene, can halve the duration of results. If you smoke, expect to top up more frequently.
If you travel home after your session
Your clinical record, including your baseline and final spectrophotometer readings, is retained digitally. If you decide to have follow-up whitening or restorations back home, your home dentist can request your shade documentation from us directly.
Patient Stories
Whitening Patients in Their Own Words
"
I had teeth whitening procedure along with 4 fillings. As someone who usually experiences highly sensitive gums and teeth I was shocked when I felt no pain at all in anything. The staff here are so gentle and thorough and professional; taking lots of photos so you can see what's happening and being clear about what's what. Ridiculously well priced as well. Honestly this is the best dentist I've ever been to, even better than back home in Aus!

"
What a lovely experience. I went for a check up and cleaning and had the whitening and I'm extremely happy with the results. The dentist was very gentle during the cleaning and communicated well in English. The teeth whitening was also painless and I'm really happy with the results. Better than any experience I've had back home in South Africa, and it was very affordable.

"
Best dentist in Da Nang! I've had whitening, a veneer and now braces done here. The whitening has lasted over a year already, the veneer was matched to perfection. I recently got braces fitted in my lower teeth, when told by other dentists it wasn't possible but Picasso found a way! The service is immaculate, great English and clean space. Very happy with all services so far.

One Appointment, Same Day.
Book online before you fly. Walk in, whiten, walk out. No preparation visit required.
Book Online or via WhatsApp
Send a WhatsApp message or use the contact form. We confirm your preferred branch and time slot and send a preparation note covering the 48-hour white diet.
Picasso Glow Session
60 to 90 minutes in the chair. Baseline shade documented, cycles completed, desensitising finish applied. Final reading taken and added to your clinical file before you leave.
Enjoy Vietnam
Continue your trip. Sensitivity (if any) settles within 24–48 hours. Maintain the white diet for 48 hours, then eat normally. No follow-up appointment required.
Whiten First, Then Restore.
Complete Picasso Glow on day one. Allow two weeks for the shade to stabilise. Then proceed with veneers or bonding matched to your new shade.
Picasso Glow Session
Whitening first, restorations second. This is the correct clinical sequence: your natural teeth reach their brightest shade before the porcelain or composite shade is selected.
Consultation + Design
While shade stabilises, we complete your scan, Digital Smile Design preview and mock-up for any planned veneers or bonding work.
Restorations Matched to New Shade
Veneers or bonding are shade-matched to your whitened teeth. You leave with restorations that reflect your brightest achievable natural enamel shade, not your pre-treatment colour.
Risks & Limits
Honest About Risks and Limits
Laser whitening is one of the safest cosmetic dental procedures. The risks are real but minor and temporary. Here is what to know before you book.
Post-treatment sensitivity
Transient sensitivity is the most common side effect: a mild aching or zingy response to cold, reported by around 50–70% of whitening patients. It resolves within 24–48 hours in almost all cases.
Gum irritation
If the bleaching gel contacts gum tissue, temporary whitening or irritation of the gum surface can occur. This resolves within a few hours. Our gum shield placement minimises this.
Uneven results
Teeth with existing restorations (fillings, crowns, veneers) will not change shade. Natural teeth with uneven enamel thickness may whiten unevenly. The spectrophotometer detects this cycle by cycle.
Who it doesn't help
Tetracycline and fluorosis staining sits inside the dentine, not on the enamel surface. Bleaching chemistry reaches it poorly. Multiple sessions may improve it slightly but rarely match the result extrinsic staining patients achieve.
Enamel safety
Professional in-office whitening at clinical concentrations does not damage enamel when used as directed. The risk of enamel damage comes from overuse of high-concentration products without supervision. One to two professional sessions per year is considered safe in the clinical literature.
The guarantee and its limits
The no-result no-fee guarantee applies when the spectrophotometer shows no measurable shade change. It does not apply if whitening produced a change but the patient's expectation exceeded what their enamel chemistry permits. We discuss realistic expectations before every session.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions patients most often ask before booking a Picasso Glow session.
What is Picasso Glow and how is it different from Zoom whitening?
Picasso Glow is Picasso Dental's exclusive in-house laser whitening protocol, available only at our six Vietnam clinics. Unlike Zoom, which is a licensed third-party system available at multiple providers, Picasso Glow uses a VITA-calibrated spectrophotometer to measure your shade after every cycle, not just before and after the session. Every package includes a no-result no-fee guarantee backed by objective shade measurements.
How many shades whiter will my teeth get?
Most patients achieve 4–8 shades on the VITA scale in a single Picasso Glow session. Results depend on your baseline shade, enamel thickness and the type of staining. Extrinsic staining from coffee, tea, wine and tobacco responds best. Intrinsic staining from tetracycline or fluorosis responds more slowly and may require multiple sessions. Your treating dentist will set realistic expectations before treatment begins.
Will it cause sensitivity?
Mild transient sensitivity is common for 12–24 hours after laser whitening. The Pro Glow and Signature Glow packages include a pre-treatment desensitising preparation that significantly reduces this. All sessions end with a fluoride desensitising agent. Patients with pre-existing sensitivity should mention this before the session so the protocol can be adjusted.
How long do the results last?
Most patients maintain their whitened shade for 12–24 months with normal dietary habits. Frequent staining foods and drinks, and smoking, accelerate regression. A single Express Glow top-up session restores the result when shade begins to drift back.
Will whitening work on my crowns or veneers?
No. Bleaching agents work only on natural tooth enamel. Existing porcelain crowns, Emax veneers and composite fillings will not change shade. If whitening is planned alongside cosmetic restorations, whitening should be completed first so your restorations can be shade-matched to your brightened natural teeth.
What is the no-result no-fee guarantee?
If the spectrophotometer readings at the end of a Picasso Glow session show no measurable shade change from the baseline reading taken at the start, no fee is charged. This applies in cases where whitening was genuinely ineffective for your enamel chemistry, not cases where a change occurred but the patient expected a larger result than bleaching chemistry can achieve.
Can I do this in a single day as a tourist?
Yes. Any Picasso Glow package is a single-appointment treatment of 60 to 90 minutes with no preparation appointment required. Many international patients book it as a standalone appointment or combine it with a check-up, cleaning or cosmetic consultation on the same day.
What is the difference between Express, Pro and Signature Glow?
Express Glow (60 min, 3,000,000 VND) uses two whitening cycles and suits patients who want a visible refresh. Pro Glow (75 min, 4,000,000 VND) adds a third cycle and includes a desensitising preparation before treatment for deeper results with less sensitivity. Signature Glow (90 min, 5,000,000 VND) is the same three-cycle protocol with an extended session and a take-home maintenance kit. All three carry the no-result no-fee guarantee.
Who should not have Picasso Glow whitening?
Whitening is not suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients under 16, patients with untreated cavities or active gum disease, patients with severe enamel erosion, or patients with very dark intrinsic staining that will not respond to bleaching chemistry. We assess all of these at the pre-session consultation.
How does the price compare to Zoom whitening in my home country?
In-office Zoom whitening in Australia typically costs AUD 600–900. In the UK, equivalent laser whitening runs GBP 400–700. Picasso Glow Signature (the most comprehensive package) is 5,000,000 VND, approximately AUD 300 or GBP 200 at current exchange rates. Every package includes per-cycle spectrophotometer readings and the no-result no-fee guarantee.
Should I whiten before or after getting veneers?
Always whiten before veneers. Veneer porcelain does not respond to bleaching agents. If you whiten after your veneers are bonded, your natural teeth will brighten but the veneers will stay the shade they were made, and the mismatch will be visible. The correct sequence: complete Picasso Glow, allow 2 weeks for shade to stabilise, then proceed with veneers shade-matched to your whitened teeth.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for Picasso Glow?
Arrive with clean teeth. A professional scale and polish in the days before your session improves gel contact and results. If you have significant plaque build-up, we may recommend a cleaning appointment first. Avoid heavy coffee or red wine in the 24 hours before the session. No special diet or pre-treatment medication is required.
