Who We Treat
Who Our Patients Are
Vietnamese Nationals
Vietnamese patients make up roughly half the patient base. They come to Picasso for premium cosmetic and implant cases, complex multi-stage treatments, and second opinions on treatment plans from other clinics. Picasso's pricing is premium by Vietnamese standards but significantly below what the same treatment costs in Singapore, Thailand or South Korea.
Dental Tourists
International patients traveling specifically for dental treatment are a significant segment, particularly in Hanoi and Da Nang. The most common source markets are Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and the United States. Most dental tourists come for implants, veneers or full-mouth rehabilitation work and combine treatment with time in Vietnam.
Expatriates and Long-Stay Residents
Vietnam's expatriate population in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City forms a steady patient base. Expats need a clinic they can return to, which means English-speaking staff, consistent dentists and a practice that is open seven days a week with transparent pricing. Picasso was built specifically to serve this segment from its founding in 2013.
International Visitors with Dental Emergencies
Not all international patients plan their visit. A proportion arrive at Picasso with a dental emergency that developed during a holiday or business trip. All six branches are equipped for same-day emergency appointments including pain relief, extractions, temporary restorations and root canal initiation.
Where Patients Come From
Top Source Markets
International patients by origin country, based on patient records across all branches.
Australia
The largest single source market for dental tourism. Australian patients most commonly come for dental implants and All-on-4 full-arch work, where the cost difference between Vietnam and Australia is most significant.
New Zealand
New Zealand patients follow a similar profile to Australians, primarily implants and full-arch rehabilitation. Da Nang is the most popular branch, with direct Air New Zealand routing to Da Nang via Sydney.
United Kingdom and Ireland
UK and Irish patients come primarily for porcelain veneers and cosmetic smile makeovers, where Vietnam pricing is 60–70% below UK private rates. Hanoi Old Quarter is the most visited branch.
United States
American patients most often combine a wider South-East Asia itinerary with a planned dental visit. Implants, veneers and clear aligner treatment are the most common procedures.
Singapore
Singaporeans living in or visiting Vietnam make up a growing segment. The Thảo Điền HCMC branch serves Singaporean and regional expat patients most directly.
Japan and South Korea
Japanese and Korean patients are a growing segment, attracted by Vietnam's quality-to-cost ratio and Vietnam's established dental tourism infrastructure in Da Nang and Hanoi.
Treatments
What Patients Come For
Dental Implants
Single implants and full-arch All-on-4 cases using Nobel Biocare and Straumann systems. The cost difference versus Australia, the UK or the United States is typically 60–75%, which is the primary driver for dental tourism.
Porcelain Veneers
Emax veneers crafted in the dental laboratory. A full smile set of 8–10 veneers in Vietnam costs roughly the same as 2–3 veneers at a London or Sydney private practice.
Invisalign and Orthodontics
Invisalign Comprehensive treatment for adults and teens. Picasso holds Platinum Elite provider status, the highest tier achievable through case volume and outcome results.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Complex cases combining implants, crowns, root canal treatment and sometimes orthodontics into a staged multi-visit treatment plan. Picasso sequences these for international patients to maximise what can be completed in a single trip.
