Why Japanese patients choose Picasso.

01

Japan has some of Asia's highest dental costs

Japanese private clinic fees for implants and cosmetic work are among the highest in Asia. A single implant in Tokyo or Osaka routinely costs 400,000–800,000 JPY. At Picasso, the same Nobel Biocare or Straumann system (fixture, abutment, crown) costs a fraction of that. Full-arch cases deliver savings that make the return flight negligible.

02

Vietnam is closer than you think

A 4.5-hour direct flight from Narita or Kansai puts you at the clinic the same morning you leave Japan. Most cosmetic work, including veneers, crowns and whitening, is complete within a single 5–7 day visit. Implants require a second short trip 3–6 months later, but both are practical from Japan given the flight time.

03

Same implant brands, global warranties

Nobel Biocare and Straumann are the same systems used by leading Japanese practices. You receive complete implant serial number documentation before departure. Nobel Biocare and Straumann warranties are valid globally including Japan. Your dentist at home has full traceability.

04

Da Nang as a recovery destination

Da Nang is one of Vietnam's most popular destinations for Japanese visitors, with direct connections from multiple Japanese cities. Hoi An is 30 minutes south. Time between appointments is at the beach or exploring the Ancient Town, not waiting in a recovery room.

★★★★★

"I travelled from Sydney to Hanoi and began a course of treatment over two separate visits across a month. But my visits to Picasso were by far and away the best dental treatment and care I have experienced. I have every confidence in recommending Picasso to anyone thinking about travelling internationally for dental care."

★★★★★

"Absolutely stunning dental service. They made it their mission to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I'm walking away with a shiny crown, clean teeth, fixed cavities and a perfect dental implant. The level of English is fantastic. If you're thinking of dental tourism, I can highly recommend Picasso."

★★★★★

"An exceptional dental clinic. I've had 3 implants done here, multiple check-ups and cleaning over several years. Professional and friendly. The results had impressed my UK dentist. I have recommended them to many friends and colleagues."

Common questions.

Do I need a visa to visit Vietnam?

No. Japanese passport holders enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 45 days. No advance application required. Present your passport at arrival. This covers a full cosmetic or implant first visit with time for sightseeing.

How many trips do I need for implants?

Most cases require two trips. Trip 1 (3–5 days): implant placement. Trip 2 (2–3 days, 3–6 months later): crown fitting. The short flight from Tokyo or Osaka makes a second trip straightforward. All-on-4 with good bone quality may allow a temporary prosthesis on Trip 1.

Which city is best for Japanese patients?

Da Nang is the most popular: direct flights from Narita and Kansai, beach access, Hoi An nearby, and the Vinmec Hospital branch. Hanoi suits a northern Vietnam itinerary. HCMC suits those combining treatment with southern Vietnam travel.

Will my dentist in Japan be able to follow up?

Yes. You leave with full documentation: X-rays, implant serial numbers, clinical notes in English, and an itemised invoice. Nobel Biocare and Straumann carry global warranties valid in Japan. Your dentist at home has everything for continuity of care.

What if something goes wrong after I return to Japan?

Contact us via WhatsApp or email. Our team reviews photos and advises within 24 hours. Nobel Biocare and Straumann warranties are valid in Japan. For mechanical issues we coordinate replacement components as needed.
