Common questions.
How many trips do I need for implants?
Most cases require two trips. Trip 1 (3–5 days): implant placement. Trip 2 (2–3 days, 3–6 months later): crown fitting. The 90-day multiple-entry e-visa covers both trips in one visa. All-on-4 with good bone quality may allow a temporary prosthesis on Trip 1.
Will my UK dentist be able to follow up my treatment?
Yes. You leave with full English-language documentation: X-rays, implant serial numbers, clinical notes, and an itemised invoice. Nobel Biocare and Straumann carry global warranties honoured in the UK. Your dentist has everything for continuity of care.
Which Vietnamese city should I fly into?
Da Nang is the most popular for British patients: direct Gulf carrier connections, beach access, Hoi An nearby, and the Vinmec Hospital branch. Hanoi suits a longer northern Vietnam itinerary and is directly served from Heathrow on Vietnam Airlines. HCMC suits those combining treatment with southern Vietnam travel.
Is Vietnam safe for dental treatment?
At an accredited clinic using certified brands, yes. Picasso uses only Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Osstem and Neodent. Two branches operate inside accredited hospitals. All clinical notes are in English. The risks in dental tourism relate to documentation gaps and brand substitution. Neither applies at Picasso.
