Dental Bridges That Fill
the Gap Permanently.
Picasso Dental places porcelain and zirconia dental bridges in Vietnam using Zirconia, Emax, Lava and Lava Plus materials with manufacturer-backed warranties up to 10 years. A fixed alternative to removable dentures when one or more teeth are missing and an implant is not preferred or not possible. Six branches across Hanoi, Da Nang, HCMC and Da Lat.
What It Is & Why Picasso
What is a Dental Bridge. Why Picasso.
A dental bridge is a fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth (pontics) to the natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap. Unlike a denture, a bridge is cemented permanently in place and does not come out. It restores chewing function, prevents neighbouring teeth from drifting, and maintains the shape of your face and jaw.
Premium Materials Only
Zirconia, Emax, Lava and Lava Plus, every bridge material we use carries manufacturer-backed warranty documentation. We match material to position and bite force, not to margin.
iTero Digital Impressions
No putty trays. The iTero scanner captures the prepared abutment teeth and opposing arch in minutes, so the bridge fits on the first try and inter-arch contacts are calibrated before bonding.
Warranties Up to 10 Years
5 years on standard zirconia, 7 years on Emax, 10 years on Lava and Lava Plus. Warranty documentation travels with you for follow-up at any branch.
Implant-Supported Option
When replacing multiple consecutive teeth, we can anchor the bridge to implants rather than natural teeth, eliminating the need to prepare healthy adjacent teeth and preserving bone beneath the gap.
Hospital-Grade Facilities
Two branches operate inside accredited hospitals, Vinmec International Da Nang and Link General Hospital Da Lat, with full sterilisation and on-site emergency medical support.
Honest Treatment Advice
If an implant is a better long-term solution for your situation, we will say so. If a bridge is the right choice, we will explain exactly why and what the trade-offs are before any clinical work begins.

Bridge Types
Types of Dental Bridge
The right bridge type depends on how many teeth are missing, the condition of adjacent teeth, and your bone volume.
Traditional (Tooth-Supported)
The most common type. Two natural teeth on either side of the gap are prepared as abutment crowns. A pontic is suspended between them. Works well for one-to-two missing teeth. Requires reshaping otherwise healthy adjacent teeth.
Implant-Supported
Two implants anchor the bridge instead of natural teeth. No adjacent teeth are touched. Bone is preserved beneath the pontic. Preferred when replacing three or more consecutive teeth or when the adjacent teeth are healthy and should not be prepared.
Cantilever Bridge
Anchored to a single abutment tooth on one side only. Used in specific cases where only one suitable natural tooth flanks the gap. Not appropriate in high-bite-force areas. Less common.
Maryland (Resin-Bonded)
Metal or zirconia wings bonded to the backs of adjacent teeth, no crown preparation needed. Minimally invasive but not suitable for areas under high bite force. Mainly used for front teeth in certain cases.
How We Decide
Bone volume, number of missing teeth, condition of adjacent teeth, and bite force all factor in. A CBCT scan gives the full picture. We present your options with realistic expected lifespans and trade-offs before you decide.
Bridge vs Implant
Implants preserve adjacent teeth and bone, and are generally preferred. Bridges are faster, less invasive, and lower cost upfront. Both are valid, depending on your clinical situation, timeline, and budget.
The Procedure
How a Bridge is Placed
Most bridges are completed in two visits over about two weeks. International patients can usually complete a single three-unit bridge in one trip.
Examination + X-ray
Clinical exam and X-ray or CBCT to confirm the abutment teeth are viable and the gap dimensions.
Day 1 · 30 minAbutment Preparation
Abutment teeth are shaped under local anaesthetic. Decay or old restorations are removed first.
Day 1 · 60–90 miniTero Scan + Temporary
Digital scan sent to lab. A temporary bridge protects the prepared teeth while the final bridge is fabricated.
Day 1 · 30 minFinal Bonding
Temporary removed. Final bridge checked for fit, contacts and bite, then permanently cemented.
~2 weeks later · 45 minCandidates
Who Is, and Isn't, a Good Candidate?
You Are a Strong Candidate If
You are missing one or two teeth with healthy adjacent teeth on both sides.
The adjacent teeth have existing large restorations that need crowning anyway.
You want a fixed, non-removable solution faster and at lower cost than implants.
Bone volume or health conditions make implant surgery less suitable.
Your gums and surrounding bone are healthy.
A Bridge May Not Be Right If
Adjacent teeth are completely healthy; preparing them as abutments removes structure unnecessarily.
You are missing three or more consecutive teeth; implant-supported bridge is a better option.
You have active untreated gum disease; this must be treated first.
Bone loss beneath the gap is significant, which affects pontic aesthetics.
You are young; an implant preserves options and bone over a longer timeframe.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a dental bridge cost in Vietnam?
The fee depends on the material (zirconia, CERCON HT, Emax, Lava, Lava Plus) and the number of units (a standard three-unit bridge has two crowns plus one pontic). We provide a written, itemised quote before any clinical work begins. For published rates, see the cosmetic dentistry cost guide.
How long does a dental bridge last?
With proper care, porcelain and zirconia bridges typically last 10 to 15 years. Picasso offers warranties from 5 years on standard zirconia up to 10 years on Lava and Lava Plus.
Bridge or implant: which is better?
Implants preserve the adjacent teeth and jawbone and are generally preferred when bone volume allows. Bridges are faster, less invasive, and lower cost, and remain an excellent option when implants are not suitable or when adjacent teeth already need crowning.
How many teeth can a bridge replace?
A conventional tooth-supported bridge reliably replaces one or two missing teeth in a 3-to-4 unit span. Replacing more consecutive teeth typically requires an implant-supported bridge to avoid overloading the abutment teeth.
How many visits does a bridge take?
Typically two visits over about two weeks. The first prepares the abutment teeth and takes the digital impression; the second bonds the final bridge. International patients can usually complete a single three-unit bridge in one trip.
Does getting a bridge hurt?
Abutment preparation is performed under local anaesthetic. You feel pressure, not pain. Some sensitivity for a few days after preparation is normal. If either abutment tooth needs a root canal first, that is done before bridge work begins.
