How to Avoid Getting Overcharged
Three rules that protect you from the most common cosmetic-tourism mistakes. Picasso Dental follows all three by default.
1. Confirm Material in Writing
Insist on the exact veneer material in your written quote: Emax Press, Emax Press Plus, or Lisi. "Porcelain" alone is meaningless, prices for generic feldspathic porcelain, pressed lithium disilicate and premium Lisi differ by a factor of two or more. Ask for the manufacturer's material certificate. Picasso provides this with every case.
2. Confirm Digital Smile Design + Mock-Up Are Included
Some clinics quote a low veneer price then bill Digital Smile Design, iTero scan, wax-up and in-mouth mock-up as separate add-ons, often 5 to 10 million VND on top. At Picasso, all four are included in the per-veneer price. Confirm this in writing before you book.
3. Insist on a Written Warranty
Reputable cosmetic clinics offer a 5 to 7 year material warranty on porcelain veneers in writing, with terms covering debonding, fracture and shade defect. If a clinic offers no written warranty, or a verbal-only promise, the porcelain is likely off-brand. Picasso provides 7-year written warranty on all Emax and Lisi veneers.

Every veneer price at Picasso includes the consultation, clinical photography, iTero digital scan, Digital Smile Design preview, physical wax-up, in-mouth composite mock-up, lab fabrication, bonding visit, occlusion check and final polish. There is no separate consultation fee, design fee or scan fee.
Do you accept dental insurance from abroad?
Picasso Dental does not bill foreign insurance directly, but we provide complete documentation (itemised invoices, photographs, treatment notes, material certificates) that international patients submit to their home insurance for partial reimbursement. Cosmetic veneers are typically not reimbursed by insurance, but trauma-related and structural restorations may qualify for partial cover.
How do I pay for cosmetic treatment?
International credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and bank transfer (USD or VND). For larger smile makeovers, we accept staged payments: deposit at consultation, balance at preparation visit, balance at bonding visit. No interest, no third-party finance.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, for smile makeover packages above 50,000,000 VND. Payments are aligned with treatment stages: deposit at design, balance of preparation cost on the prep visit, balance of veneer cost at bonding. International patients pay by international card or bank transfer.
Are there hidden fees?
No. We provide a written treatment plan with line-by-line pricing before any work begins. Veneer pricing already includes Digital Smile Design, iTero scan, wax-up, mock-up and bonding. Add-ons (whitening before veneers, gum contouring, nightguard) are quoted separately and only when the case requires them.
Will my home dentist do follow-up?
Yes. We provide a complete case file: material certificates, shade records, digital impression files, photographs and bonding notes. Any qualified cosmetic dentist anywhere in the world can manage routine follow-ups, polishing and bond-margin maintenance using this documentation. We also respond to questions over WhatsApp at any time.

Within the 7-year material warranty and under normal use, porcelain replacement is covered. Re-cementing a debonded veneer is 700,000 VND if you return to Vietnam. If you cannot return, we send the original digital files and shade records to a local cosmetic dentist of your choice so a matching replacement can be fabricated locally; we cover the material cost up to our equivalent veneer price.
